She cured 10 years of Insomnia in just 10 days
This is the story of Carly, a full-time blogger and full-time stay-at-home mom. Her story is very inspiring not only for moms but for everyone who is suffering from insomnia and sleep deprivation. People who aren’t able to sleep can relate to her story. Are you one of those who google, ‘how to cure insomnia quickly’, or ‘I can’t sleep at night’? This article is going to help you in some ways.
Carly had insomnia for over a decade and was suffering from the same issues you are suffering from. Throughout these 10 years, she was constantly looking for the answers to the same questions. Her major concern was why I couldn’t sleep even when I was tired. She says, the insomnia was bad before having kids but it became even worse after kids.
Throughout all the struggles, she never lost hope and improved her life step by step. If she can do this, everyone can. Let’s look at the right choices she made that completely changed her life.
Many reasons force us to develop insomnia such as anxiety. Once the insomnia gets bad, you won’t be able to sleep even when you aren’t anxious or sad. Carly mentioned that her insomnia was so bad she used to stay awake straight for a few days.
She stated that ‘my best decision was to stay consistent to get at least 4-5 hours of sleep per night. At first, it was way too difficult for me.’
However, getting this much sleep is going to be challenging for any individual dealing with insomnia. Talking to multiple people who recovered themselves from sleep problems, we found something common in each case. Some of them were getting sleep at night, while others tried to sleep whenever they could. The key here is to allow your body to experience a deep sleep state regardless of the time. Whether it be day or night, focus on sleeping whenever you can.
Once your body experiences the relaxing state it naturally reverts to its recovery nature. For the first few weeks, your priority should be to get as much sleep as you can. You can start with a couple of hours and get to a point where you feel you are getting enough rest to perform.
Build a habit of keeping your phone aside as soon as you get in bed. Our phones can keep us awake the whole night.
These steps may sound very small but believe me it has helped me to get where I am today and they’ll also help you to improve your life. I started with a couple of hours, got to a point where I was getting 4-5 hours of sleep and now I developed a habit of sleeping at least 7-8 hours every night. My life has completely changed because I made a promise to myself. Now my goal is to touch the 9-hour mark, it still feels like a dream but I can achieve that.
Many reasons contributed to developing bad sleeping habits which resulted in insomnia. Throughout my childhood, I remember I had night terrors which affected my sleep for a very long time. Once it stopped another thing came to ruin my sleep. The main reason for all my sleep problems was severe anxiety. It was a complete nightmare for me that pushed me to a point where I just lay in the dark and stayed in my bed. I tried running away from it and started watching TV or reading books late at night every day.
Sleep deprivation is no joke even if you are a single lady or with babies. I believe if I can transform my life by just sticking to a few commitments you can do too. I hope my story inspires you in any way, that would be great. I wish you guys very good luck and be always happy.
